Brooke Chavez began her career with Primarily Primates Animal Sanctuary in 2013, and serves as its Executive Director. Her primary focus is the care and well-being of the 350+ rescued animals that call Primarily Primates home, 250 of which are primates that were released from biomedical research, the entertainment industry, and pet homes. Brooke, vegan for many years, has been involved in the care of animals for over 20 years and believes her true calling in life has been fulfilled by improving the lives of animals and supporting the connection between people and animals. Brooke also provides sanctuary for farmed animals and has always been fascinated by bats and penguins. Brooke lives at the sanctuary with her husband, two wonderful daughters, seven dogs, one cat, and two cockatiels.
